Catalyst for Change Awards
The fight to end childhood obesity is being addressed by everyone from industry leaders to community organizations to individuals – which is the only way we are going to end this crisis.
To highlight some of this work, this year the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) is honoring those leaders that are working to make the healthy choice the easy choice, with its second annual Catalyst for Change Awards. Finalists will be announced during the 2017 Building a Healthier Future Summit on May 11 and winners will be announced at the PHA Fit to Celebrate Gala in November.
Last year, PHA was honored to present Sodexo with the Partner of the Year Award and
After-School All-Stars with the Impact Award.
PHA Partner of the Year Award
The PHA Partner of the Year Award is presented to a partner who is working to ensure the health of our nation’s youth, making healthier choices more affordable and accessible to families and children across the country. The partner must demonstrate how it is executing key strategies beyond the PHA commitment, including focusing on those populations disproportionately impacted by obesity; doing well while doing good; using an innovative approach to address childhood obesity; or creating a ripple effect within their industry.
Please apply for your organization or on behalf of someone you feel is deserving of the Partner of the Year Award by Applications by clicking here. Applications are being accepted beginning on February 8, 2017 and will remain open until March 24, 2017.
PHA Impact Award
The PHA Impact Award is presented to a group or an individual who has sparked change at the community level to help build a healthier future. The finalists must demonstrate how the organization or individual is showing measurable impact and outcomes with a focus on populations disproportionately impacted by obesity; collaborating with other organizations in the childhood obesity effort to create a greater impact; or using an innovative approach to address the mission to end childhood obesity. Organizations do not need to be a PHA partner to apply.
Please apply for your organization or on behalf of someone you feel is deserving of the Impact Award by clicking here. Applications are being accepted beginning on February 8, 2017 and will remain open until March 24, 2017.
